Art Promotion Office

Hong Kong House, Echigo-Tsumari Art Field

In 2018, the Art Promotion Office under the HKSAR Government established Hong Kong House, an exhibition space in Echigo-Tsumari Art Field. The space showcases works from Hong Kong artists / collectives. It also hosts community programmes in the area, largely ran by artists and students together.

We were engaged to support the set up of the exhibitions and the daily management of the site. We also helped to design and execute students internships, and made necessary connections to facilitate community programmes. Interpretation and translation services were provided.

What We Did:
- Recruited, briefed and trained 8-15 students per year to support artistic initiatives, site management and community programmes
- Liaised with Art Promotion Office, HKAPA, Art Front Gallery (Japan), artists, and all other related parties on matters of exhibition production, site management, and related programmes
- Provided on-site production and interpretation support for artists & collaborators of Hong Kong House
- House management of Hong Kong House during Echigo-Tsumari Triennale

Selected artists for Hong Kong House:
2021: Lam Tung-pang
2022: Wong Ping-pui, Stanley (anothermountainman)
